On 26 November Eversheds was named Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2008, after winning the support of a distinguished panel of judges comprising top-level general counsel and retired City partners.It was one high point in a year in which the firm had won a string of industry awards and garnered plaudits for attempts to innovate on client service. Yet, just a few days later, Eversheds was less happily singled out after being ranked at the bottom of a vote of more than 2,000 associates on the popular website RollOnFriday. The firm scored 33% for its treatment of staff, while prospects at the firm stood at 40%.
