The Delaware Senate on March 16 unanimously confirmed Joseph R. Slights III to serve as vice chancellor on the Court of Chancery, putting to rest questions about his residency that were raised by his nomination.

The 20-0 vote followed a 10-minute appearance before the Senate Executive Committee, during which Slights called his nomination by Gov. Jack Markell the “honor of a lifetime” for a “life-long Delawarean with roots that run deep in this state.”
