A look at securities litigation in the first six months of 2013 suggests some interesting developments for general counsel are on their way, said Monica Loseman, a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Denver office. The law firm recently released its securities lit update.

At the top of Loseman's high-impact list was the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in February in the class-action lawsuit Amgen v. Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds. "Clearly the biggest development in many years," she said.
