“Today has a first-day-of-school feel for me,” said a beaming Judge Walter Daivs as he opened Tuesday’s first-ever in-person hearing in the shiny new Georgia Statewide Business Court at the Nathan Deal Judicial Building Tuesday. 

Noting the effort that went into creating the court itself and its freshly minted headquarters, Davis told the dozen or so lawyers and attendees—all masked and safely distanced in the gallery—that he appreciated them entrusting their case to the court authorized by Georgia voters in 2018.
