In a year that’s seen a boom in Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, Delaware’s filing numbers outrank most other states by almost any metric.

Nearly one in four Chapter 11 filings in the country were filed in Delaware in January through November 2020, according to data from Epiq, with 1.7 cases filed for every 1,000 Delaware residents, a rate more than three times as high as any other state.
