The Delaware Supreme Court is moving forward with two initiatives to help members of the bench and bar adapt to the ever-changing world of technology and its impact on the law. The first enterprise is the creation of the new arm of the court, the Commission on Law and Technology, while the second is the posting of Supreme Court oral argument videos on its website.

An order dated July 1 and released last week established the Commission on Law and Technology, which will formally launch September 15. The commission will develop and publish guidelines and best practices to educate judges and attorneys on aspects of technology and how it relates to the practice of law. Delaware is said to be the first state judiciary to create a technology commission, according to the court's announcement.
