Kaelea Shaner has been hired as the Delaware Judiciary’s first diversity, equity and inclusion officer, completing one of the key recommendations from the Delaware Supreme Court’s 2022 Strategic Plan on improving diversity in the Delaware bench and bar.

Shaner started in her new position the week of Oct. 10, and her office is located within the Administrative Office of the Courts, which is the administrative arm of the Delaware Supreme Court that oversees court operations statewide and carries out policies and goals established by the chief justice.
