Experts and local officials on Friday addressed new approaches to reforming Delaware’s bail and pretrial detention policies, charging and sentencing decisions and policing strategies.
They appeared at the second informational hearing of the Committee on Fairness in the Criminal Justice System, a product of the state Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission, tasked with reducing racial disparities in Delaware’s criminal justice system.
