A nonprofit organization that provides services to people with HIV/AIDS has sued the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta for slashing its funding.

“The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), acting through its agency the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), mismanaged a critical funding opportunity and impermissibly denied funding to a long-standing partner fighting HIV/AIDS in the Atlanta, Georgia area.”
