Justices of the Georgia Supreme Court wrestled Tuesday with who, if anyone, could be held responsible for the suicide of a 14-year-old girl.

During a 40-minute argument, court members expressed concern about possible competing precedents—a 1913 decision that virtually shut the door on holding anyone liable for a suicide and a 1988 matter allowing a suicide case to go forward.
