Only a week after opening new offices in the U.K. and Germany and announcing plans to acquire a seven-lawyer Manhattan boutique, Smith Gambrell & Russell is continuing its growth spurt in New York.

The Atlanta-based firm said Friday that it has recruited three transactional lawyers in New York from U.K. firm Withers’ office there. Alan Jacobs joined as a partner, and Brenda Simensky and Danila Duo joined as counsel on Jan. 9. Smith Gambrell’s managing partner, Stephen Forte, said the firm hopes to expand even further in New York and will soon need more space there.
