A rapidly growing Atlanta cybersecurity startup has hired its first general counsel to help the company navigate its continuing global expansion.

Pindrop Security, which blocks phone fraud, announced on Tuesday the appointment of Clarissa Cerda as general counsel. Most recently, she was chief legal strategist and, before that, executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary at LifeLock Inc., where she managed the company’s highest priority regulatory and litigation matters and helped take it public in 2012. Cerda formerly was a corporate and securities partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal.
