San Diego’s district attorney has decided not to pursue criminal charges against an Atlanta attorney who was arrested in 2014 after his wife alleged he attacked her at their California home, a DA’s office spokeswoman has confirmed.

In an email to the Daily Report, a spokeswoman for District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis declined to elaborate on the district attorney’s decision not to pursue a criminal case against Atlanta attorney Martin Chitwood. “We do not discuss our charging decisions other than saying we can only file charges when we believe we can prove them beyond a reasonable doubt,” she said.
