An Atlanta plastics distributor that was awarded almost $500,000 by a Fulton County jury in a trade secrets case is seeking more than $485,000 in fees and expenses.

Jurors last month determined that Southern Polymer’s No. 2 man and his wife, who also worked there, had violated their non-disclosure agreement and Georgia’s Trade Secrets Act when they abruptly left the company and went to work for a competitor. Some of Southern Polymer’s clients took their business to the competitor, Thornton & Co., a Connecticut firm.
