A man whose jaw was broken by what his lawyer claimed was a sucker punch in the parking lot after a mixed martial arts show was awarded $200,000 for his injuries plus another $25,000 in punitive damages in a retrial of the case.

In 2010, a Fulton County jury found for the defense, but the Georgia Court of Appeals ruled that the jury had been improperly charged to evaluate the case on negligence rather than battery.
