The Georgia House of Representatives today passed a resolution that would require district attorneys to have at least seven years of experience as a lawyer.
House Resolution 1161 calls for a constitutional referendum to increase the eligibility requirement for DAs from three years as a member of the State Bar of Georgia to seven years. House members approved the legislation 139-27.
