Governor Nathan Deal's Judicial Nominating Commission is sifting through 54 nominees for the Fulton County State Court when Judge Susan Forsling steps down on July 1.

The JNC has apprised each candidate that, because of the large number of applicants, it may appoint a subcommittee to trim the list before conducting interviews, a practice it employed for two DeKalb slots.
