Cobb County Superior Court’s new chief judge is an Englishwoman with a knack for directness and an aversion to procrastination.

"I think it’s the little Brit that’s in me which cuts to the quick," said Chief Judge Adele Grubbs during an interview in her chambers last week. "You get to the issue. Solve the issue. Get it done."
