MOBILE, Ala. AP – A former Fulton County, Ga., deputy has been sentenced in Mobile to nearly five years in federal prison for drug trafficking.

Dwayne L. Turner, a Mobile native who worked at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, was sentenced to 57 months in prison Tuesday for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana. He pleaded guilty to the drug conspiracy charge, U.S. Attorney Deborah J. Rhodes said in a statement Wednesday.
