RICHMOND, Va. AP – Sen. Jim Webb on Thursday expressed frustration with President Bush’s choice of nominee for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, questioning why recommendations floated by him and Sen. John Warner were ignored.

In June, Virginia’s two U.S. senators recommended to Bush five centrist candidates for vacancies on the court, which has handled some of the country’s biggest terrorism cases, including that of Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui.
