THE INK WAS BARELY DRY on a joint venture’s $550 million purchase of a big chunk of office space near Perimeter Mall when two of the 18 buildings that had traded hands were sold again.

Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Co. and Philadelphia-based Rubenstein Properties Fund closed on 3.5 million square feet from Equity Office Properties Trust last week and within two days had resold two key properties for a total of about $100 million.
