OK. Say you’re one of the handful of lucky third-year law students whose Big Law job offer has been modified from $165,000 per year plus parking, gym membership and a 2,200 minimum billable hour requirement to $5,000 of cold hard cash per month to not work.

True story-there are some of you out there. And everyone hates you. But I know it is not your fault that a Big Firm is so confused about how to handle this economic downturn that it will pay you to not work for a year.
