ATLANTA AP – A Florida man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for running a Ponzi scheme that took in more than $23 million in less than five years by promising investors an annual return of 50 percent from foreign currency markets.

U.S. District Judge Richard W. Story of Atlanta also ordered 44-year-old Manyu Ogale of Jacksonville on Tuesday to pay $12.7 million in restitution. Ogale pleaded guilty Dec. 18 to mail fraud.
