Former University of Georgia professor Jan Kemp died earlier this month, but two legacies lived on from her challenge to how the school’s athletes were treated, her attorney said.

Kemp, who at age 59 died from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease, showed in her 1983 federal suit against UGA that “David versus Goliath battles” can be won, said J. Hue Henry of Athens.
