One thing we know about the eight contenders vying to fill an open seat on the Fulton County Superior Court is that they all know how to move quickly. Word did not get out that the current occupant of the seat, Judge Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore, planned to retire until just before the June qualifying deadline.

Below readers will find profiles of each candidate. They are based on interviews with seven candidates and answers to questionnaires returned by five candidates. The questionnaires were based upon those used to vet judicial nominees by the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission and the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
