The Second Annual Association of Corporate Counsel Golf, Tennis and Spa event attracted more than 300 corporate and law firm attorneys Monday and raised an estimated $70,000 for the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, according to volunteer organizer Stephen B. Kaplan, assistant general counsel for CompuCredit.

Many of the participants gathered at the end of the day for a reception on the lawn at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta and a silent auction in the clubhouse. “I was very happy with the reception turnout. At its largest point, there were over 200 people there,” said Kaplan, who has been working on the event since last year’s tournament ended. The main changes were moving the location to a club with two courses in order to double the number of golfers to 242 and adding a spa event, which drew 49 participants to Spa Sydell. Another 35 played in a tennis tournament at Windward Lake Tennis Center. All were invited to gather at the golf club for the evening reception.
