A federal jury has turned down a claim of nationality and race discrimination aimed at the Fulton County Library by a part-time employee and native of India, who said she was unfairly passed over for a full-time position despite being more qualified than the successful candidate.

For the plaintiff’s attorney, A. Leroy “Lee” Parks Jr., the case was notable in that it was his first loss before a jury, he said.
