A lawyer for a man who asked for $13 million in damages but was awarded only $1.1 million in a trial over a car accident that killed his wife said they have not decided whether to ask for a new trial or appeal.

“We’re still looking at those issues,” said N. Kirkland Pope, who represents Richard Reasoner in two suits, the one over the death of his wife and a separate case over his injuries from the crash.
