The office of Gov. Sonny Perdue has released the names of five finalists to fill the seat of former Fulton County State Court Chief Judge Albert L. Thompson, who retired in September. Picked from 27 candidates by Perdue’s Judicial Nominating Commission, they are:

� Scott D. Delius, 41, a sole practitioner in Atlanta. He has spent the past seven years as a plaintiffs’ attorney in general civil liability and workers’ compensation cases. Prior to that, he was a litigator with Magill & Atkinson, and began his career Drew Eckl & Farnham. He was also on a State Court short list in 2008.
