A Gwinnett County jury returned a $28 million verdict for the family of a man killed in a head-on collision after 13 parishoners, friends and family members testified about their memories of the decedent.

Jeb Butler and Matt Kahn of Butler Kahn secured the verdict April 17, after presenting 2½ days of testimony consisting from witnesses about Mark Cohen, who died when another driver, Mary Angela Bell, crossed the center line and struck the front of his minivan. That portion of the trial saw witnesses lining the hallways for several hours, waiting to come in.
