Public trust in the federal judiciary is at an all time low, and Georgia judges fear that a general erosion of public trust toward government institutions–reflected in a 2022 Pew Research Center study that showed faith in federal government cratering to just 16%–is being mirrored in attitudes toward the state courts.

“In these dynamic and often volatile times, it’s important to get back to basics in civics education. Learning about the Constitution instructs and reminds us of the importance of the founding principles that guide us still today,” said Georgia Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth Gobeil.
