A statewide commission that could investigate and potentially discipline or even remove locally elected prosecutors inhibits those officials from carrying out their duties and exercising free speech rights, opponents of the measure said in an effort to delay it from functioning.
Their overarching theme pressed on the notion that the legislation creating the committee was too vague.
