Teva Pharmaceuticals, Cooper Surgical and others were hit with a personal injury products liability lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia by Angelia Barrett, a patient allegedly adversely impacted by Teva and others due to injuries sustained when her Paragard IUD was removed from her body. Barrett is represented by attorneys from Keller Postman and Yaeger Law, and counsel has not appeared yet for the defendants.

It is one of 11 lawsuits of that kind filed against Teva in that court in the past week. The case is 1:23-cv-04012, Barrett v. Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc.
