A trial court in East Georgia’s Greene County amended a $22 million wrongful death jury verdict to include $6.5 million in attorneys fees and expenses, bringing the case’s total judgment to $28.5 million. The amended verdict came after the trial court denied the defendant’s motion for a new trial in a case brought forth by the family of a man killed at an off-road trail riding park.

The defense was represented by Martin Fierman and Ben Fierman of the Fierman Law Firm and E. Janes Boswell. The team didn’t respond to the Daily Report’s request for comment in light of this most recent development, or in the Daily Report’s previous coverage of the case. However, the plaintiff attorney, Render Freeman of Andersen Tate Carr, said he believes defendants will likely appeal the verdict.
