The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit upheld a preliminary injunction blocking President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors, but narrowed its scope.

In a decision Friday, Judges Britt Grant and James Edmonson said the district court’s order applying the injunction nationwide was overbroad and an abuse of discretion, but upheld the pause on the rule for seven states and a trade association that brought the challenge.
