Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney has set a hearing for 4 p.m. Aug. 8 on the new state court lawsuit challenging Georgia’s abortion ban.

Lawyers are scheduled to argue over whether the judge should grant a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of the ban while the litigation proceeds. The hearing is scheduled to take place in McBurney’s eighth-floor courtroom in the downtown Atlanta courthouse. McBurney also typically allows hearings to be livestreamed on YouTube.
