Jen Jordan said she is running for Georgia attorney general because of the “tough challenges” the job entails as the state’s top prosecutor.

“I’m running to protect and serve the people of the state of Georgia, to be a voice for Georgians who don’t have power or money or status,” said Jordan, a Democrat. “Georgia families really need a champion right now and an independent watchdog that’s looking out for them, who’s gonna work to make sure they have safe communities. … The current AG seems to be more focused on defending the governor or defending partisan policy talking points rather [than] actually than serving the constituents he was elected to serve.”
