The company that publishes the Marietta Daily Journal and several other North Georgia newspapers has joined the cadre of publishers and state attorneys general suing Google and Facebook for violations of federal antitrust and monopoly laws. 

The complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia relies heavily on last year’s investigation by a U.S. House of Representatives committee which found that the online behemoths’ business practices have had “a profound effect upon our country’s free and diverse press, particularly the newspaper industry.”
