The lawyer seeking compensation for more than a dozen sheep and several goats killed by a marauding dog said a jury award of $22,000, including $12,000 in attorney fees, is far from his largest verdict. 

But, said Matthew Carlton, “this is the craziest case I’ve ever had. It was like high-stakes poker all the way through.”
