Plaintiffs lawyer Jeb Butler of the Butler Firm won a $500,000 jury verdict last week for a woman who sued her former pastor, alleging he sexually abused her for years starting when she was 15 and telling her it was her duty in service to the church.

Butler tried the case with Morgan Lyndall, also with the Butler Firm, over three days before Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Ron Mullins. The jury returned the verdict June 9 in favor of Lequita Jackson against Lewis Clemons.
