In two big government hires, the Securities and Exchange Commission has named Nekia Hackworth Jones as director of its Atlanta Regional Office, while the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has named Marcus Keegan to be regional attorney for its Atlanta District Office.

Hackworth Jones, a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, will become the SEC’s Atlanta office director in January, succeeding Richard Best who became the director of the SEC’s New York Regional Office in August.
