Lead plaintiffs lawyer H. Lamar “Mickey” Mixson said he had a “humdinger” of a presentation lined up for Tuesday’s closing arguments in the megabucks trial pitting the scions of Rollins pest control empire founder O. Wayne Rollins, who died in 1991, for control of family trusts holding billions of dollars in assets.

But those arguments were never heard, as lawyers for the plaintiffs—four of Rollins’ adult grandchildren—and the defendants, their father and uncle, announced that they’d reached a confidential settlement.
