The U.S. Senate voted 75-18 Wednesday to approve the nomination of Steven D. Grimberg to fill a vacancy on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta.

“Steven Grimberg has a distinguished record of upholding the law, and his deep knowledge of economic crimes and cybersecurity threats will serve him well on the federal bench,” Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, said in a news release following the vote. “I’m glad the Senate has confirmed Steven to serve Georgia and the United States on the bench in the same district where he compiled an impressive record for the U.S. attorney’s office. I thank him for his past service and his continued willingness to serve.”
