The Judicial Nominating Commission announced Monday it has given Gov. Nathan Deal shortlist recommendations to fill openings for judges on the Superior Courts of the Dougherty, Enotah, Northern, Ocmulgee and Ogeechee Judicial Circuits.

The vacancies within the Dougherty and Ocmulgee Judicial Circuits were created by the appointments of Judges Stephen Goss and Trenton Brown III to the Georgia Court of Appeals. The vacancies within the Enotah, Northern and Ogeechee Judicial Circuits were created by the resignations of Judges Murphy Miller, Thomas Hodges III and William Woodrum, Jr.
