The Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting nominations to fill a vacancy on the Georgia Supreme Court created by the retirement of Chief Justice P. Harris Hines—and for any additional vacancies that may occur this year.

The high court is expecting another vacancy upon U.S. Senate confirmation of Justice Britt Grant, nominated by President Donald Trump to fill a spot on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
