Among the biggest wins the firm cited was a case in which it represented KBR Inc. and several of its affiliate companies to prosecute claims to recover $33 million from global paper manufacturer WestRock Co., formerly known as RockTenn Co. The dispute involved unpaid invoices arising from KBR’s construction and engineering work at RockTenn’s paper mill in Hodge, Louisiana. RockTenn denied liability and counterclaimed for more than $80 million, claiming fraud, professional malpractice and breach of contract, among others.

During the course of litigation, KBR secured an antisuit injunction from the Delaware Court of Chancery based on RockTenn’s breach of a mandatory forum selection clause, a decision upheld on appeal.
