A coastal Georgia jury returned a defense verdict in a lawsuit filed by a mother whose 3-year-old son drowned in a motel pool along with the man who was caring for the boy.

The Bryan County State Court jury deliberated between two and three hours before returning a verdict for the defendant, Laxmiji Inc., doing business as Days Inn of Richmond Hill, according to lawyers on both sides.
