Atlanta lawyers at three firms, Jones Day, King & Spalding and Alston & Bird, advised clients on several major deals announced this week.
Jones Day is helping Flowers Foods Inc. on its $275 million cash acquisition of organic bread company AVB Inc., better known as Dave’s Killer Bread. Sterling Spainhour and Bill Zawrotny in Jones Day’s Atlanta office are leading the firm’s deal team for Flowers, based in Thomasville, Georgia. Corporate associates Joanna Sutton and Thomas Short assisted them.
