The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation has hired Jamie Perez as the new director of its Safe and Stable Families program. It runs a walk-in clinic for domestic violence victims at the Fulton County Superior Courthouse and supplies trained volunteer lawyers to serve as guardians ad litem for contested child custody cases before Fulton Superior’s family division.

Perez, who joined AVLF from family and business law firm Holland Roddenbery, replaces Liz Whipple, who left in July to become the director of the Domestic Violence Law Clinic at her law school alma mater, the University of Alabama.
