The legal nonprofit Atlanta Women for Equality has launched a social media effort for Black Women’s Equal Pay Day on Tuesday to highlight the finding that black women working full time make only 64 cents for every dollar that white men earn.

Other groups taking part include the National Women’s Law Center; 9to5—National Association of Working Women; and the YWCA. The goal of the national social media campaign, which is using the hashtag #ClockOut4EqualPay, is to encourage men and women across demographic groups to raise awareness of pay disparities and end discriminatory employment practices.
